About Me
About
Gwen Feldman
I am a psychoanalytically trained psychotherapist with a deep commitment to authenticity. Since 1997, I have been helping individuals find a safe space to voice the thoughts and feelings they've kept inside. I believe that a genuine connection with another person is one of the most powerful tools for growth. My goal is to create an empathic relationship where you feel comfortable sharing your innermost concerns, knowing that you will be heard with respect and without judgment. Through this understanding, we can work together to soothe feelings of hopelessness and isolation, fostering real change in your life.
My Professional Journey
I became a licensed clinical social worker in 1998 and pursued advanced psychoanalytic and Trauma/EMDR training in NYC, completing a five-year intensive program that included my own personal analysis. This journey deepened my desire to start my own clinical practice. I hold a Post-Master's Certificate in Advanced Clinical Social Work from Hunter College and am a certified substance abuse and alcohol counselor (CASAC) through NYU. My extensive training has reinforced my belief that the commitment to a therapeutic relationship is key to healing. A deep connection with an empathic clinician is one of the most effective ways to understand yourself and begin the journey toward lasting change.
